This is a spin-off from the Enemies to Lover Series first book Shane and Trey. We first meet Karl and Paul as young kids that are looked after during school time by Shane and Trey. This is another classic tale of bullies to friends to lovers; as well as another truly enjoyable book by Anyta Sunday!

So this takes place many years later, Karl and Paul are all grown up. Karl who was the class bully growing up, now seems to be on the other side. Paul; who has struggled during his youth with a speech impediment, seems to be doing very well in his life. I really like the way Karl and Paul’s lives are almost flipped from there childhoods. It gives a unique prospective on how easily things in life can change or go down a different path.

Paul is now an adult and a father to an adorable little 4 year old named Charlie! I love Charlie; he is just so cute and really very smart and intuitive for a 4 year old! It seems now though Paul has a choice; can he show Karl the kindness he once wished Karl had shown him? That has got to be a difficult decision to make. With years of hurt that has built up, you’d think all Paul would want is revenge. And Karl is like a completely different person. Which leaves Paul filled with confusion. Karl has lost his family, after being outed out to them by accident, they disowned him and turned there backs to him; leaving him high and dry, living in his car. Which by the way is one sweet car!!

A few minor mistakes, but they can easily be overlooked. Over all, it's a very sweet story, showing how life can change, people can change. Not everyone will be the same as who they were as a child. Things that happen when you’re young can and will influence how you make your life to be; and this story goes to show just that.

I give this 4.5 stars… I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it! I’m looking forward to the next one in this series!
