Dragon Blood by Madeline Montague

Summary:
They were the last of their kind--brothers born of the last dragon and doomed never to find mates of their own--not of their own kind, at any rate.

Rating: Carnal/Erotica—graphic violence and sexual encounters, multiple sexual partners.

Reviewer: ScarletRose
Okay …I was hooked…. It has mystery, mythology, and some very hunky men who are almost too good to be true. Eli and Gabriel and John and the other brothers are drawn to mate with this human woman, to have children with her, yet she is not of their kind. And Marlee is unable to resist them…. Add UFO hunters…and suspicious park rangers and it’s hard to resist.

I really liked this book. I loved the dragons. The brothers were all different and all very appealing. You get to know them, well you get to know two really well and one kind of well. They are strong, sexy, and driven men…er…dragons.

I liked Marlee too, she was strong and smart and very able to take care of herself. She finds herself having to rely on men that she doesn’t know, yet she feels instinctively that she can trust them to protect her. But the brothers don’t trust her, she’s not a dragon. And they are terrified that when she finds out what they are they will face extinction.

I really liked the premise of this book. What drove me crazy was Marlee’s continual thoughts and speculations. I wish there had been more dialog. The characters were wonderfully written and very well defined. But three of the brothers are virtually ignored. And that bothered me. The kicker was the ending… or rather lack of an ending…the story just ends. Like the author just put down her pen and walked away.

You are left wanting and needing more. You want to know what happens to all of them. It was very upsetting to have it finish so abruptly. That being said, I will still give it 4 stars. Though I have hopes that sometime in the future the author will revisit this dragon family and finish the story.
