This book was a bit of a disappointment. The story of justice that goes wrong is a familiar story but Jennifer tries to makes it seems fresh and real, but I think she missed the mark. The idea that two men can be broken down to become slaves by a women is a different slant on the old battle of the sexes. The book tells how she plans to get them to confess guilt and instead manages to make herself fall in love with them. She then tries to prove their innocence instead of their guilt. The life and death race to save themselves from assassins is fun but again it is an old story line. Maybe if she had tried to make her book stand out from the pack, I would have enjoyed it more. I had a hard time staying interested in the book and found myself putting it down and coming back to it later. My belief is that while it blends with the other books in the series pretty well, I feel that maybe she could have let the series end with the third one. All in all, I give the story 2.5 stars. I just couldn't get into the book and therefore have to give it a low score. But this is just my one opinion and I do encourage those that loved the other three books to read this one, you may a totally different opinion than mine!
